Protein for Muscles
Protein is one of the building blocks for growth and repair. It is a vital nutrient for many parts of the body including the brain, skin, hair and nails. Every time we exercise, our muscles need protein to repair and recover.
It is important to choose a high quality protein food like dairy protein as a snack after exercise, to encourage your muscles to recover and repair. Research suggests that consuming dairy protein after resistance exercise can assist muscle repair and muscle gain. One particular amino acid, leucine, found in dairy protein, is thought to encourage protein production in muscles so that they will grow and recover after exercise.1,2
One 250mL glass of regular PURA Original contains 8g of high quality protein (including leucine), about 16% of an adult's daily protein requirement. So combine a big glass of milk with a gym strength work out, to help you to build muscle!
