Protein for Muscles

Protein is one of the building blocks for growth and repair. It is a vital nutrient for many parts of the body including the brain, skin, hair and nails. Every time we exercise, our muscles need protein to repair and recover.

It is important to choose a high quality protein food – like dairy protein – as a snack after exercise, to encourage your muscles to grow and repair. Research suggests that consuming dairy protein after resistance exercise can assist muscle repair and muscle gain. One particular amino acid, leucine, found in dairy protein, is thought to encourage protein production in muscles so that they will grow and recover after exercise.

There is no need to spend your hard earned cash on protein supplements or amino acids. One 250mL glass of regular Pura Milk contains 8.5g of high quality protein (including leucine) – about 17% of an adult’s daily protein requirement. So combine a big glass of milk with a gym strength work out, to help you to bulk up!
